McNally is an award-winning documentary film producer and director. She has numerous years' experience making films for PBS's flagship current affairs series, FRONTLINE, as well as major documentary platforms including Netflix, HBO, National Geographic, Apple +, Discovery, NFL Network, the Wall Street Journal and others. She was an Investigative Reporting Program Fellow at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and a Logan Nonfiction Fellow at the Carey Institute.

McNally’s films have won multiple Emmys, a Peabody Award, a Polk Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, a Grierson Award, a DOCNYC Producing Award and an Online News Association Feature Award and have been nominated for Producers’ Guild and Directors’ Guild Awards as well as shortlisted for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

She has produced, directed, overseen and contributed to productions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, Somalia, South Korea, North and West Africa, South and Central America, the Arctic and Antarctica. A graduate of Dartmouth College and a native of Minnesota, she lives in Texas with her husband, daughter and son.
